Hiking and Eating

Today was definitely a better day. We had a relazing morning having breakfast and hanging out at the RV park playground, then met up with the family for a hike up by the Olympic Village at Squaw Valley. Zorah decided to hike barefoot most of the way.

This came in handy when she waded through the ice cold water with Luna, the white golden retriever, at the waterfall.

Unused to the altitude and to hiking, we stopped a few times along the way.

It was really relaxing being off the road. The air up here is so much cleaner, and sweetened by the scent of old pine needles in the sun.

Later we had dinner with Stephanie's parents. They are lovely people. And they have one of those old Fisher Price record players. Do you remember it? With four different colored "records" that played on the music box record player? I loooooved that thing as a child. Still do! I played all the records with Zorah. Actually, she played with the other toys while I listened to the record. Good times.
