Mother's Day

Mother's Day is a tough one for me. To a certain extent, I feel like I should insist on doing everything I want on this day. But if I did that I wouldn't be behaving like a mother. I had a pleasant day. It went as it should, not how I would have wished.
One highlight was when Brian, Zorah, and I went to Tommy Bahama for a late lunch after spending time at the pool with some friends. We were talking about how I was keeping in touch with Michelle, the mother of one of Zorah's friends from Arizona. Zorah was really surprised, and proclaimed:
"Well, beat my lizards and beat my gums! I wouldn't have known it for a million tons!"
And we had chicken katsu from the Ohana Hawaiian BBQ over at the strip mall. Yum!
